Maaya opened in 2016 above a bookshop, with one chair, one mirror and a kettle that was always on. Word spread the way it does in Hyderabad — one aunt at a time.
Nine years later there are six chairs and two therapy rooms, and the kettle is still on. We train everyone in-house, we use products we'd use on ourselves, and we'll tell you honestly when a cut won't suit you.
Notes
Sulphate-free shampoo, twice a week at most, and cold water for the last rinse. Colour fades from heat and hard water long before it fades from time.
Book the trial six weeks out and bring your dupatta, your jewellery and a photograph of what you have in mind. We keep notes so the morning itself is quiet.

Walk in for a trim or threading; book ahead for colour, spa or anything over an hour.
Two to three hours for global colour, longer for balayage. We'll tell you before we start.
