How it's made

Six weavers. One loom each.

Kora started as a stall at a Sunday market with forty metres of cotton and no plan. We now work with six families — four in Chirala, two outside Shantipur — and buy the whole run rather than haggling by the metre.

Everything is cut and finished in Bengaluru, in small numbers. If a piece sells out we'll usually make it again, but it takes a fortnight, and we'd rather tell you that than keep a rail full of things nobody wants.

Things worth writing down.

CareHow to wash handloom

Cold water, mild soap, dry in the shade, iron while slightly damp. The first wash will bleed a little — that's the natural dye behaving as it should, not a fault.

MakersA week in ChiralaLast month

We buy the whole run rather than haggling by the metre, which means the weaver knows in January what they're making in March. It costs us more and it's the only arrangement worth having.

Do you ship?

Anywhere in India. Message us with what you want and we'll send photos, measurements and a payment link.

How should I wash handloom?

Cold water, mild soap, dry in shade. The first wash will bleed a little — that's the natural dye, not a fault.

Can I return something?

Exchange or credit within seven days, unworn. Made-to-order pieces can't be returned, which is why we measure carefully.

Do you do made to order?

Yes, on sarees and jackets. Allow two weeks, longer during wedding season.

Is there parking?

Street parking on 12th Main, and the lane behind is usually free on weekdays.
